The Saddleback Mountain Unified Public School District has a graduation rate of 95 percent, which is 10 percent higher than the national high school graduation rate. Students who take the ACT college admissions test receive an average score of 23, which is around three points higher than the national ACT test score average of 20.6.

This district is considerably smaller than other local districts, having fewer than 2000 students enrolled in its total of three schools. Even so, it has a student-to-teacher ratio of 20 students per one teacher, which is just above the 16:1 national student-to-teacher ratio.
