Phoenix Greek Festival

The Original Phoenix 63rd Annual Greek Festival. October 11th, 12th, and 13th returns to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral for another spectacular celebration of Hellenic culture, continuing a tradition that has enriched Phoenix’s cultural landscape for over six decades. One of the oldest and largest cultural festivals in the state, this 63 year tradition is a Phoenix favorite, drawing families from throughout the Southwest who return annually to experience authentic Greek hospitality, cuisine, and entertainment. The festival’s enduring success demonstrates the Greek community’s commitment to sharing their heritage while creating inclusive celebrations that welcome all backgrounds.

Authentic Greek Village Experience

Enjoy Greek food, music, dancing, jewelry, art, grocery items and activities for children in a setting that transforms the cathedral grounds into a vibrant Greek village atmosphere. The event’s authenticity stems from community members who prepare traditional foods using family recipes passed down through generations, ensuring that every dish reflects genuine Greek culinary traditions. Desserts such as Baklava are made from scratch by our own “Yia-Yia’s” (Greek for Grandma), creating the kind of homemade quality that cannot be replicated in commercial settings.

Traditional Entertainment and Performing Arts

The festival’s entertainment program showcases the depth and beauty of Greek performing arts, featuring award winning dance groups in authentic costumes that represent different regions of Greece. These performances provide educational experiences that reveal the diversity within Greek culture while celebrating the artistry and precision of traditional dance forms. Live music creates an immersive atmosphere that transports visitors to Greek islands and mountain villages through sound and rhythm.
