West Valley az

West Valley is a rapidly growing area.  This part of the Valley of the Sun is changing daily and growing in size.  The West Valley covers six cities, three towns, and three Phoenix Villages.  It includes the city of Tolleson, city of Goodyear, city of Glendale, city of Litchfield Park, city of Avondale, town of Buckeye, town of Youngtown, town of Gila Bend, Estrella Mountain Village, Laveen Village, and Maryvale Village.  This section of the Valley of the Sun is developing into an up and coming area that many people want to make their home.

The West Valley stretches from its northern parts near Deer Valley Road in Glendale, to the southern edge at the base of the Sierra Estrella Mountains, then west past the White Tank Mountains, and east tracing the 101 Freeway.  Getting around the metropolitan area is easy.  With the majestic Sierra Estrella Mountains to the south and near Interstate 10, the West Valley is an ideal place to live.  Residents are able to get around the metropolitan area easily and still enjoy the beauty of the desert.

West Valley Properties

Row upon row of orange groves and cotton fields once marked this part of the Valley of the Sun.  Today, the West Valley is transforming into spectacular planned communities and commercial development.  Shopping, a famous resort, golf courses, entertainment, and recreational activities are all found in the area.  With so many options it is no wonder that many arriving to the Phoenix area decide to make the West Valley their new home.

Litchfield Park, Goodyear, Tolleson, Youngtown, and Avondale are all cities that began years ago as small farming communities.  Today, these cities and towns are losing their farm fields and building new master planned communities.  Affordable housing and a friendly southwestern attitude bring so many people to these towns and cities.

Estrella Mountain Village, Laveen Village, and Maryvale Village are all on the southwestern fringes of metropolitan Phoenix.  These villages hug the base of South Mountain.  Close proximity to downtown Phoenix is a main reason people chose to live in these villages.  Mature neighborhoods and new home developments are also found in the area.

The towns of Buckeye and Gila Bend were once considered on the far western edge of Phoenix.  However, today this part of the valley is experiencing a boom.  New home builders and businesses have discovered the area.  Large open desert spaces and clean air are just two of the reasons that people chose to live in this part of the West Valley.

The city of Glendale is one of the jewels of the West Valley.  Quaint mature neighborhoods with historic homes to larger properties in planned communities.  Shopping, restaurants, and entertainment are all located within this city.  Glendale is the closest city in the West Valley to downtown Phoenix.  Glendale is known for being a city that has it all.

Hiking the White Tank Mountains on the western border of the West Valley is a popular outdoor activity.  These mountains offer a variety of trails ranging in difficulty for the advanced to beginning hiker.  Along the trails of the White Tank Mountains, hikers can see sweeping panoramic views of the Valley of the Sun below spreading out to the north, east, and south.  It is a sight every resident of the West Valley must witness.
