Grayhawk is a residential community in Scottsdale that sits north of Highway 101. Its western edge sits along North Scottsdale Road while its northern border falls along East Deer Valley Road. It eastern edge is along North Pima Road while its southern tips reach close to Legacy Boulevard and past the Scottsdale water campus.

It is a master-planned community that is governed by the Grayhawk Community Association. This association operates on the premises and oversees important daily tasks like community management, safety, maintenance and communications. It also regulates the activities of area real estate agents and the designs of new homes.

Grayhawk offers a number of amenities to homeowners in the community. It encourages an active lifestyle and wants residents to be engaged with the community.

It provides numerous basketball courts, for example, and encourages homeowners and their children to make use of them. The association also provides and maintains numerous tot lots that are designed for younger children.

Grayhawk has a number of facilities that can be rented out for events like parties and weddings. There are also more than 30 miles of trails that residents can use for hiking, biking and walking.

The average home price in Grayhawk sits at $525,000 or $256 per square foot. These prices are decidedly higher than the average home price found in Phoenix, which is $169 per square foot or $269,000.

Grayhawk is served by the Paradise Valley School District. There is one elementary school close to the community. There are also two private schools, Pinnacle Peak and El Dorado Private School, available to homeowners in the Grayhawk community.

There are two neighborhoods located within Grayhawk, The Park and Retreat Village. The Park is designed to be a family-friendly neighborhood while Retreat Village has two gated sub-neighborhoods, the Raptor Retreat and the Talon Retreat. The Retreat has amenities like tennis courts and swimming pools for residents only.

The real estate market in Grayhawk is one of the most in demand in the area. It consists not only of single-family homes but also condominiums and townhouses. The condominiums sell for around $300,000. They typically have two bedrooms and two bathrooms and around 12000 square feet of space.

The single-family homes are larger. They have upwards of four bedrooms, three bathrooms, two and three-car garages, and up to 3000 square feet of space.
