Anthem

Anthem is a subdivision in Maricopa County.  It has close to 30,000 residents and was founded in 1999.  It spans more than 5800 acres and is located about 30 miles north of Phoenix.

Anthem is a neighborhood that is designed for family-friendly living.  It offers amenities like a community center with facilities for soccer, swimming, baseball, tennis, and other sports.  As a gated community, residents must pay fees to the homeowners’ association.  The fees in part cover the facilities offered at the local community center.

Anthem is also home to shopping and entertainment venues like The Outlets at Anthem.  This outlet mall has the tallest Christmas tree in the U.S.  The tree measures 115 feet tall. 

Anthem is also served by several medical facilities.  The Cardiovascular Consultants is part of the local heart hospital located in Anthem.  Residents have two veterinarian hospitals to choose from in Anthem, the Daisy Mountain Veterinarian Hospital and the Animal Hospital at Anthem.

Home prices in Anthem range from $215,000 to $300,000.  The neighborhood consists mostly of single-family homes. 

Anthem is part of the Deer Valley Unified School district.  It is served by the public schools of Anthem School, Gavilan Peak School, Boulder Creek High School, Canyon Springs School, Diamond Canyon School, and New River Elementary School.  Glendale Community College, Paradise Valley Community College, and the West Campus of Arizona State University are also located in Anthem.
