Deer Valley Phoenix

Deer Valley is a subdivision in Phoenix that borders both the cities of Glendale and Peoria. It was created in 1972 and currently has a population of more than 165,000 residents. It is adjacent to the neighborhoods of North Mountain, North Gateway, Desert View, and Paradise Valley. Interstate 17 and Arizona Loop 101 both run through Deer Valley.

As one of the fastest-growing neighborhoods in Phoenix, Deer Valley is home to some of the area’s top attractions. Wet N’ Wild Phoenix is located in this subdivision. Other local attractions include the Norterra Mall and the Adobe Mountain Train Museum.

Desert Mountain is an exclusive gated community that was developed by the same architecture firm that was founded by Frank Lloyd Wright. The community is centered around a membership-only golf course and spans around 8000 acres situated in the Sonoran Desert. Membership to the golf course can be included with the home sale price. However, membership in the course is not required to live in the community.

Along with the golf course, the neighborhood also is home to amenities like a golf performance center, shopping, dining, and recreational facilities. The subdivision is located about 45 minutes from downtown Phoenix and is close to Scottsdale, Cave Creek, and Carefree.

Given the exclusivity of the neighborhood, it is little wonder that the home prices here are higher than those found in other neighborhoods in Phoenix and Scottsdale. The average home here sells for between $5 to $9 million. The homes are custom-built and feature sprawling ranch-style designs.

Desert Mountain is part of the Scottsdale Unified School District and has two public schools close by for residents. These schools are Desert Mountain Middle School and Desert Mountain High School.

Other locations include Scottsdale Horizon Shopping Plaza and Family Fun Zone.

Home prices in MMR start at $287,000 and can go as high as $354,000. The local market is a mixture of single-family homes, condos, and townhouses.

MMR is part of the Scottsdale Unified School District. Public schools available to residents include Desert Canyon Elementary School, Desert Canyon Middle School, and Saguaro High School. Private schools include Notre Dame Preparatory School and Scottsdale Christian Academy.

There are several public schools available for neighborhood residents. These schools include BASIS Scottsdale Elementary School, Mountainside Middle School, and Desert Mountain High School. The community is served by the Scottsdale Unified School District.

Scottsdale Ranch Scottsdale
