McDowell Mountain Ranch is a master-planned community that is nestled within the Sonoran Preserve in northern Scottsdale, Arizona. After the Herberger family sold the land for development, planning for McDowell Mountain Ranch began in earnest in 1993. Developers created 21 different home models and initially planned for 11 different neighborhoods within McDowell Mountain Ranch.
