The Paradise Valley School District gets high national marks for its educational quality and health and safety. In fact, its overall national grade is a B-plus. It gets grades of A for academics, college preparation, and diversity. It gets a B grade for its quality of teachers, clubs and activities, and safety.

In the state of Arizona, however, the Paradise Valley Unified School District ranks 16th out of 115 districts for academic excellence. It ranks eighth for its athletic programs and 37th for diversity.

Overall, the district has a graduation rate of 88 percent. College-bound students have an average ACT test score of 27, which is higher than the national average of 20.6.

Standardized state test scores show that 53 percent of the students in the school district are proficient in reading. Likewise, 52 percent of the students in the district surpass the proficiency standard for mathematics.
