Deer Valley Phoenix
Deer Valley is a subdivision in Phoenix that borders both the cities of Glendale and Peoria. It was created in 1972 and currently has a population of more than 165,000 residents. It is adjacent to the neighborhoods of North Mountain, North Gateway, Desert View, and Paradise Valley. Interstate 17 and Arizona Loop 101 both run through Deer Valley.
As one of the fastest-growing neighborhoods in Phoenix, Deer Valley is home to some of the area’s top attractions. Wet N’ Wild Phoenix is located in this subdivision. Other local attractions include the Norterra Mall and the Adobe Mountain Train Museum.
Turf Paradise, a world-class horse racing track, is also located in Deer Valley, as is the Deer Valley Airport that is used for general aviation purposes. Desert Ridge is a resort-style community located in Northeast Phoenix. It spans more than 5700 acres and is considered to be one of the most upscale subdivisions in the area. It was created in 1991 as a private-public partnership between the city of Phoenix and the state of Arizona. It now comprises of more than 4000 homes as well as numerous attractions that make it one of the fastest-growing neighborhoods in Phoenix. Arizona Loop 101 runs through part of the Desert Ridge neighborhood.
Among other attractions, Desert Ridge is home to the city’s Mayo Clinic Hospital. This hospital is a division of the world-famous Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
