Dobson Ranch offers a number of amenities to residents. It has several recreational centers that residents can rent to host parties and events. It also has three man-made lakes, several tennis courts, playgrounds, and an outdoor swimming pool that is not only open for recreational swimming but also for water aerobics and swim lessons.

To encourage residents to stay fit and active, Dobson Ranch hosts numerous exercise and fitness classes for homeowners. People who live there can join in classes for Zumba, aerobics, yoga, and general fitness. It also hosts activities and clubs for interests ranging from bridge and bunco to dancing, boating, and fishing.

Dobson Ranch has its own golf course that hosts a yearly golf tournament for residents. It also has its own preschool that is open throughout the year.

Dobson Ranch offers a variety of home styles, including condos and townhouses, for people who want to live in this community. The home prices range from the low $150s all the way to $300,000 and higher.

Smaller homes like townhouses and condos in Dobson Ranch have one to two bedrooms and at least one bathroom. They start out in size at 1200 square feet but can be as large as 1800 square feet.

Single-family homes in Dobson Ranch are larger and have as many as three to four bedrooms. Many homes come with at least two to three bathrooms and have two-car garages.

The single-family homes here also have exterior features like tiled roofs to reflect the Southwest culture of the area. They have minimal landscaping with succulents and natural rock to avoid excess water usage.

Modest homes in Dobson Ranch are at least 1700 to 2100 square feet in size. Larger homes here can be as large as 2800 to 3000 feet, however.
