DC Ranch Overview

DC Ranch is an upscale gated community in Scottsdale. It was created in 1998 and is now one of the most exclusive neighborhoods in Scottsdale. It offers amenities like shopping, dining, and recreation for people who live in this subdivision.

Designed for family-friendly living, it is home to a number of biking, hiking, and walking trails that are exclusively available to residents. The Market Street Park, for example, offers a fire pit, grills, and a play area for children. It hosts the Starlight Concert Series every spring.

Residents also do not need to leave the community to enjoy dining or shopping. They can visit shops like Canyon Village or DC Ranch Crossing or restaurants like Flemings or Grimaldi’s that are open to people in the neighborhood.

DC Ranch is also home to several golf courses and country clubs. The Country Club at DC Ranch offers a full golf course as well as dining facilities. The Silverleaf Club is also open to the public and offers a golf course, swimming pool, and dining areas. For residents wanting to work out, they are welcome to join the DC Ranch Village Health Club & Spa, which offers facilities for cardio workouts, weight lifting, swimming, and more.

DC Ranch is part of the Scottsdale Unified School District and is home to several schools including Copper Ridge School, Chapparal High School, and Notre Dame Preparatory School. The neighborhood is served by medical facilities like DC Ranch Family Medicine & Aesthetics.

Home prices in DC Ranch average from $565,000 to $1.9 million. The neighborhood offers primarily single family homes for sale.

McDowell Mountain Ranch Overview

McDowell Mountain Ranch was founded in 1995. It was once a 3200-acre ranch that belonged to the Herberger Family. However, the family sold the ranch in 1992 to Newhall Land & Ranch Company, which had plans to turn the property into an exclusive residential community.

As an upscale residential neighborhood, McDowell Mountain Ranch, or MMR as it is called, now offers a healthy combination of amenities and recreational facilities designed to keep residents happy. The amenities available just for community residents include the Arabian Library, Horizon Park, Sanctuary Golf Club, the MMR Aquatic Center, and Sonoran Preserve.

Residents of MMR also have access to shopping and fine dining. They are welcome to visit Centennial Marketplace, Desert Canyon Shopping Center, McDowell Mountain Marketplace, McDowell Mountain Village, and Windgate Crossing. Other locations include Scottsdale Horizon Shopping Plaza and Family Fun Zone.

Home prices in MMR start at $287,000 and can go as high as $354,000. The local market is a mixture of single family homes, condos, and townhouses.

MMR is part of the Scottsdale Unified School District. Public schools available to residents include Desert Canyon Elementary School, Desert Canyon Middle School, and Saguaro High School. Private schools include Notre Dame Preparatory School and Scottsdale Christian Academy.

Residents of MMR have access to three nearby hospitals. These medical facilities include HonorHealth Scottsdale Shea Medical Center, HonorHealth Scottsdale Thompson Peak Medical Center, and Kindred Hospital A-Z Scottsdale.

Grayhawk Communities

Grayhawk Scottsdale is a subdivision that is located in North Scottsdale. It is centered around a golf course of the same name. The golf course is a world-class 18-hole facility. The club also offers dining areas, a banquet hall for celebrations, and facilities for weddings, anniversary parties, and other gatherings.

Along with the golf course, Grayhawk residents likewise have access to shopping, recreation, and dining. Some of the nearby shops include Isabella’s Kitchen and Pure Sushi. Eateries also include Kate & Clover and Tavern Americana. Grayhawk offers a combination of single-family homes, condos, and townhouses. The neighborhood is designed for family-friendly living. The home prices here average from $490,000 to $1.25 million. Condos and townhouses sell for around $200,000 on average.

Grayhawk is part of the Paradise Valley Unified School District. Some of the local public schools available to residents include Grayhawk Elementary School, Shadow Mountain High School, Vista Verde Middle School, as well as a number of private and charter schools.

The neighborhood is also served by HonorHealth Scottsdale Thompson Peak Medical Center, which is located right off Loop 101, and runs through the community. The medical center offers a comprehensive array of inpatient and outpatient first-class medical services for the area.
