Ernest W. McFarland was one of the state's earliest superachievers, attaining the status of U.S. Senator, Arizona governor, and state supreme court justice. The park displays a variety of things for which the historic adobe building was used, from courthouse to hospital. McFarland's collection of artifacts is on display along with an interpretive program examining his illustrious career. McFarland Historical State Park is in Florence, off U.S. Route 89 and State Route 287.
