El Mirage

June 26, 2008 by Scholarship Essays

This is a very warm state, figuratively & literally. Ever since I moved here in 1997 I’ve enjoyed the warmth of the people I’ve met and very much enjoyed the wonderful weather. Although it does get hot for 4 or 5 months out of the year, the 7 or 8 months of perfectly beautiful weather more than makes up for it.

In the city I live in now, El Mirage, a warm, small town atmosphere is reflected, as the city continues to embrace family values, friendship and traditions.

Another reason I love this state is our location, we are so close to beaches and Mexico. You do not have to travel too far to get to either of them. As you probably know, there is so much to do here. Many of the ruins and artifacts can be toured at the State and National Parks found in Arizona. Then there’s Northern Arizona, Flagstaff, Grand Canyon, The Grand Canyon Railway, Sedona, Native American Reservations, Meteor Crater, Monument Valley, Lake Powell, Sedona, where you have so many beautiful options of cultural events, and Montezuma’s Castle and Montezuma’s Well,  and endless other options for amazing wonderful adventures.

In conclusion, I love living here and could never leave. There is too much to offer in Arizona.
