Many people find rural communities boring and uninhabited. They feel that if you are not a farmer or you don’t work on a farm there is absolutely no reason to live in a place a way from all the lights and “excitement” of the city. Here in the Buckeye, Arizona community, people tend to make their own fun and find new and exciting things to do. Rather then spend the majority of our time in movie theaters or shopping malls; many times, we just take a step back and soak in all the beauty that surrounds us. Buckeye, Arizona is a place of breath-taking splendor and hometown comfort that anyone would be proud, some may even say overjoyed, to call home!

 

One of the number one reasons people come to Buckeye is to escape the city and bask in the serenity of the country. Buckeye is located just 30 miles west of Phoenix, making it exceptionally attractive to various types of people. This small town not only offers the quiet, comfort of the country, but also the metro area luxuries as well. Buckeye’s citizens enjoy shopping, an assortment of cuisines and fine dining, as well as entertainment just 20-30 minutes away from home.

 

Buckeye has a matchless charm that many people are naturally drawn to. There are few places anymore where you can look into the sky and see the stars or watch the sun set. Here in Buckeye, Arizona you can witness both of these phenomenal events plus many, many more that are so dear to the Buckeye experience. Buckeye holds peaceful, serene nights and calm, quiet, sun-shining days that are only found here in this wonderful town. During the day, you see awe-inspiring purple mountains surrounding the beautiful sunlit valley that Buckeye is located. As the sky changes to night, you see the sunset paint the clouds and sky with an array of bright gleaming colors. Finally, as night arrives the amazing stars start to peek out and show you just how incredible the view from the valley really is.

 

In Buckeye, you will never see an unfriendly face. When you shop, go to the post office, or go out in general, you will always run into someone you know. Buckeye is centered on its people and takes pride in them. It has many traditions centered on the high school and many more traditions geared towards bringing the community even closer than it already is.

 

Homecoming week is a big event for the whole town, not just the high school. Every year Buckeye celebrates Buckeye Union High School’s homecoming with a homecoming parade and then most of the town goes to the football game that night. Win or lose everyone is happy. At the end of the day, everyone is family. Buckeye is more than a place it is home!

 

Living in Buckeye really helps to mold your character and helps you to become a better person. People that have grown up here usually are more able to see the beauty in things and have a better appreciation for them. Many previous citizens of Buckeye tend to be more grounded and know that they have to work for what they need or want. In general, they show more appreciation for everything. Even their manners seem to be more upheld and courteous.

 

Many would say that this would not be somewhere they would want to live, but I know that if they gave it a chance they would live here too. Buckeye is a place that cannot be beat! It has so much to offer that anyone would be crazy not to love it. Buckeye brings people together by being “proud of our past and building our future.” It naturally draws people in with its breath-taking splendor and hometown comfort. Buckeye is a place that anyone would be proud to call home!
