If you are in the shadows of the White Tank Mountains then you are in Traditions. Traditions is a golf and country club community built by the highly respected Continental Homes construction group. In fact, you will be surprised to learn that Traditions is built on property that has been used for three of the most important industries in Arizona’s history. Even if you are not from Arizona you probably have a pretty good idea of what at least some of these industries are. Think about it, Arizona is in the middle of land cleverly reclaimed from barren desert land. There is water, but not a lot; so that there can be growing- but in selected areas carefully created for this purpose. O.K., what were your guesses Well the answers are: ranching, agriculture, and water delivery. This may not be the order, because these things can change over time but they are still important industries in Arizona, know as the Copper State for all the copper mining that was, and still is, done here. And tourism is a big reason for the state’s wealth, too. But those are the answers.
This history is evident the moment you drive into this community. Just look at the wonderful golf clubhouse made to look just like a local cotton gin. Also take a look at the golf splendid course with its old fashioned designed that lets you reel in those years gone by with all their faded glory.
Then there’s your own grand ballroom located at the community center would rival many of the dance halls of the misty past- you can just hear that band playing and see the people dancing their evenings away!
If you really like golf a lot then you will just love the par-70 golf course that they have. Dick Bailey designed golf course with its gently rolling terrain and lovely pine trees lining the fairways to be as fun to walk as to play. The course was designed in the traditional parkland style of older courses where fairways are adjacent to each other instead of having homes on both sides. When you’re done you can fill-up and chat golf in the splendid and spacious clubhouse. They not only feature a full service wet bar, they serve some wonderful dishes their as well. So to relax with a cold refreshment or food from the outdoor grill you must include a visit to the clubhouse in your golfing adventures. And there are special advantages to Tradition residents. You have an edge over everybody else because Arizona Traditions residents are offered discounted golf fees and have a minimum of one-day priority for tee time reservations over members of the general public.
But golf isn’t all that you can do at Traditions and there are a number of other activities to choose from. A couple of sets of tennis, anyone Then there’s the leisure and excitement of horseshoes, and pickleball- if you have the steady nerves and solid skill that it takes!.
