Springerville has numerous outdoor activities. The Colorado Trail Scenic Byway, along State Route 191 from Springerville to Morenci is known for its spectacular view and dangerous switchbacks. Lyman Lake State Park provides water sports, 1,400 acres of camping, hiking, petroglyphs, store and a herd of buffalo. There are two more lakes that have fishing nearby Mexican Hay Lake and Becker Lake.

Medical:
White Mountain Communities Hospital is located in Springerville. The hospital's address is 118 South Mountain Avenue, 520-333-4368.
It is a rural general care hospital with 25 beds. The hospital is a full service, 24-hour care facility providing emergency care, labor/delivery/newborn care, pediatric care, surgery services (including outpatient), inpatient pharmacy, respiratory therapy, rehabilitation services (speech, occupational and physical therapy) and a Definitive Care Unit. All laboratory services are available 24 hours a day, along with radiology services. There are a total of 24 physicians, dentists and non-physicians, mid-level practitioners on the staff of the White Mountain Commuoities Hospital.
There are two other healthcare facilities in Springerville. They are the White Mountain Care Center at 116 South Mountain Avenue, 333-4368 and the Health Horizons Inc. at 114 South Mountain Avenue, 333-2050.
