Golden Valley

Location:
Golden Valley is in Western Arizona . It is in Mohave County. The town is just off of State Highway 68 between the Black Mountains and the Cerbat Mountains. Las Vegas, Nevada. is about 100 miles to the north on U.S. Highway 93.

Overview:
Golden Valley has a variety of outdoor activities ranging from water fun to camping. The Temperature in town is usually 10 to 15 degrees cooler, than other neighboring communities. This makes Golden Valley a draw to many wanting to escape the heat. Today, Golden Valley's population is 9,000. The town sits at an elevation of 2,700 feet. The warm desert climate has a winter low Temperature of 40 degrees and summer high Temperature of 105 degrees. The town is a mix of retirees, business owners and families. This area is growing due to the many employment opportunities, affordable land, proximity to major cities and availability of larger parcels of land in and around Golden Valley.

Community Features:
One terrific nearby outdoor activity is Lake Mead. The lake was created after the construction of Hoover Dam. It offers hundreds of miles of shoreline for fishing and camping. Bass, trout and catfish are just some of the fish that swim in the waters. Boating is another fun activity visitors can experience at the lake.
