Pristine Flagstaff

Despite the diverse environments and cultures found in the beautiful state of Arizona, one community stands above the rest. Flagstaff stands alone when it comes to pristine views, ideal city size, incomparable outdoor recreation opportunities and experiencing the best of all four seasons. There is truly no better place to be in Arizona than Flagstaff.

“Location! Location! Location!” this infamous reality quote has obvious meaning in Flagstaff. Flagstaff is situated at 7000 ft in a beautiful Ponderosa Pine forest, which provides numerous opportunities for hiking, mountain biking, skiing and other activities. In the background of the city, one can catch a majestic view of the highest point in the state of Arizona. The San Francisco Peaks, which linger in the background of the town, provide the finest alpine skiing and snowboarding in the state.

Flagstaff is a pristine example of the ideal town size. With three good size public high schools, a level one-trauma center at the local hospital, a twelve-screen movie theater, and many grocery stores, nothing is more than 10 minutes away by car. Flagstaff is big enough that it has everything you need for shopping and recreation yet small enough to have that friendly, small town feel.

The surrounding forests provide incomparable outdoor recreation opportunities. From hiking to mountain biking, to camping to skiing, the opportunities for fun outdoors are endless. The mild summer and winter climate provide great motivation to get out and enjoy the weather and the outdoors. With average summer highs in the middle 80’s there is no better place to be in the state.

As you can see, Flagstaff has the best to offer of Arizona. With the weather, town size and outdoor recreation being the best you can find in the state, I am proud to call Flagstaff my hometown. I hope that more people will be able to experience all Flagstaff has to offer.
